ENGINEERS NEEDED
We are
currently looking for degreed mechanical and electrical engineers to support
Government contracts. Positions
are available in our office in Virginia
Beach, VA. The ideal candidate will possess the
skills and experience needed to provide high quality engineering support to
U.S. Navy ships or U.S. Army water craft.
Job Description
Provide engineering services for various mechanical and electrical systems
resident onboard Navy or Army vessels.
Provides on-site engineering and design support for shipboard systems.
Required Job Skills
·
10+ years experience in one of the above
engineering disciplines.
·
10+ years experience in working with shipboard systems including
testing and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s Degree
in an engineering discipline from an accredited university or
college. A Professional
Engineer's license may be substituted for this requirement.
·
Experience with engineering design work
including drawings, ship checks, and AUTOCAD products.
·
Knowledge of Navy or Army maintenance
processes
·
Must have strong communication skills, both
written and verbal. Must be
familiar with MS Office products (Excel, Word)
·
Must be eligible for a security clearance at the
SECRET level.
·
Must be able to perform work on Naval or Army
vessels in port
Responsibilities
·
Ensures engineering drawings and
recommendations are provided in a timely manner. Interfaces with Navy customer as
required.
·
Performs other duties as assigned.
ENGINEERING TECHNICIANS
Q.E.D. SYSTEMS, INC., a local
Marine Engineering firm, has immediate full-time positions available for
individuals with 10 years of Naval experience involving gas turbine, diesel
engines or steam propulsion plants.
Candidate must be familiar with use of Engineering Operational
Sequencing System (EOSS) and with ship HM&E systems. Familiarity with Navy drawings is
required. Technical writing
ability and proficiency with Microsoft® Office programs is highly
desired. Must be eligible for a
Government security clearance.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Prepare monthly invoices
from contracts, and purchase orders for all CPFF, T&M and FFP contracts
- Enter invoices into the
WAWF(Wide Area Work Flow) for processing
- Customer follow up and invoice
resolution

SHIPYARD PLANNER & ESTIMATOR
Q.E.D.
Systems, Inc., a local Marine Industrial Engineering firm, is seeking
qualified Piping and Mechanical planner and estimators with SUPSHIP or
Shipyard experience. Must have
experience in developing work specifications and work packages for production
and on-site planning for ships undergoing maintenance availabilities and
overhauls. Must be knowledgeable
in the estimating, scheduling, and production process. Experience with Navy
Maintenance Database (NMD) is a plus.
Qualified applicant must be able to work aboard ships, climbing,
bending, and working in confined spaces.
Must be a U.S.
citizen and be eligible for a government security clearance. Drug testing required before
