Job Description: QED Systems, Inc. is seeking a person for full time employment to provide logistic support for the Ford class aircraft carrier launch and recovery systems.
This position is to provide onsite, in port or at sea aviation technical assistance in operating and maintaining the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launching Systems (EMALS) and the Advanced Arresting Gear System (AAG).
During the performance of this position, provide operational and technical support to investigators in the event of an incident causing damage to aircraft or equipment.
Provide operational and technical support to AMMT and accompany same during ALREMP inspections.
Provide engineering analysis and technical guidance for TYCOM and repair activities.
Provide planning for continuous improvement of the ALRE Systems as determined by ship’s work request and scheduled availabilities, maintaining timelines for ALRE systems repairs to be reviewed by CNAL N43, SIO, and TYCOM staff planning.
Perform liaison functions with various command at all levels of authority regarding procedures and quality of ALRE maintenance.
Provide input at meetings or discussions conducted by Ship’s Force, TYCOM, NAVAIR, and repair activities pertaining to procedures, problems, and technology associated with ALRE Systems.
Provide support to TYCOM staff in developing work packages for ship’s maintenance availabilities and perform ship checks to validate requested work. In addition to the forgoing, assist ALRE maintenance officers on board Ford class aircraft carriers in the planning and execution of approved work packages.
Job Requirements/skill sets: (1) Must be a US citizen with a verifiable active secret clearance and pass background investigation and drug screen.
