Job Description:
- Will provide engineering and technical services to accomplish advance planning, work package development, work package integration and work package execution for aircraft carrier repairs, maintenance and modernization for CNO scheduled availabilities and for emergent work outside availabilities. The contractor will also provide technical reviews, preliminary screening, and coordination of all depot and intermediate level repairs and modernization during RCOH, DPIA, PIA and CIA for assigned CNAL CVN’S.
- The maintenance coordinators work sites will vary based on ship locations
- Coordinate work package development.
- Provide technical guidance and review of Long Range Maintenance Schedule (LRMS) and Incremental Maintenance Plan (IMP) to ensure repair action planned is included in the repair package.
- Coordinate with NAVSEA and PMS 312 on all aspects of repair planning. Perform liaison functions with various commands on matters pertaining to planned repairs and alterations.
- Provide technical guidance to CNAL QA officer regarding quality assurance issues regarding repairs and repair procedures.
- In concert with other members of the TRIAD, provide a frequent onboard presence during CNO availabilities and designated maintenance periods.
- Attend meetings and/or discussions conducted by ship’s Engineering Officer, Type Commanders, NAVSEA, Shipyard and Intermediate Repair Activity representatives regarding procedures/problems associated with repairs.
Job Requirements/skill sets:
- Must have knowledge of Navy maintenance processes and shipboard systems.
- Fluent in the use of RMAIS / VSB
- 15 Years of experience with direct involvement with Naval Nuclear Propulsion onboard aircraft carriers, of which at least 10 years must be gained through direct operational experience while serving on duty onboard the aircraft carriers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Power Point
- Strong knowledge in hull, mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for aircraft carriers.
- Access to and experience in the use of Navy Data Environment (NDE) for Ship Change Documents (SCD)
- Access to and experience in the use of MFOM for CASREP status and updates.
- Strong knowledge of assessing system and equipment deficiencies; ensure Departure from Specification (DFS) are issued when warranted and schedule same for future corrective action.
- Experience in the use of Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) for availability tracking.
- Experience in and strong knowledge of Steam Plant Action Request (SPAR). Steam Plant Liaison Inquiry (SPLI) and Liaison Action Request (LAR) for critical information updates.
- Must be able to work in a shipboard environment at various times.

Job Requirements/skill sets: Must have valid secret clearance. Aircraft carrier shipboard experience is a plus.
Education Requirements: High school education or equivalent.
