Job Description:
Seeking a qualified individual experienced in project execution, project management, and work force supervision. The individual will report directly to the Production Manager and will be responsible for the following: carrying out and maintaining project plans and schedules; tracking progress of work projects to both schedule and cost; maintaining schedules current; verifying the accuracy of Foreman reports regarding project plans and schedules; creating, utilizing, and analyzing project templates (including conducting critical path analysis, developing and comparing alternate schedules, and determining the impact of variables on project execution); maintaining multiple project plans and schedules simultaneously; preparing project status updates; and communicating project status updates to senior management personnel. The candidate must be able to: comply with all applicable safety regulations; enforce safety regulations within the assigned work force; perform under industrial repair conditions; climb vertical and inclined ladders; and access confined spaces.
Job Requirements and Experience:
The candidate must have the following: a High School Diploma or equivalent; at least three years of supervisory experience while working on Navy ship systems; and at least six years of experience working in a trade on Navy ship systems. The individual must: be knowledgeable of NAVSEA Standard Item requirements; have strong MS Project experience; be able to read, interpret, and follow blue prints, drawings, installation instructions, and technical manuals for all shipboard trades/skills; be able to clearly mark-up drawings to show deviations and changes effected; and be able to draft completion/trip reports. Demonstrated skills in leadership, communications, and technical problem-solving are all vital to successfully carrying out the requirements of this position.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE HISTORY OF EXECUTING MAJOR HABITABILITY PROJECTS UNDER NSWCPD CONTRACTS
