Job Description: Local marine engineering firm has openings for qualified individuals. Active duty shipboard or civilian shipyard experience is highly desired.
Move and arrange supplies, parts, pipe, iron, steel, aluminum, wire and manufactured parts or items as directed.
Prepare surfaces for painting and preservation. Paints and preserves parts, furniture, walls and manufactured items/structures as directed.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 70 pounds
Ability to operate simple hand and power tools
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Must be able to work aboard ships and under industrial repair conditions following all safety regulations
Job Requirements / Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance.
A current or recent SECRET Security Clearance is a plus, and prior to hire all applicants must submit Security Form SF-86 (which will be provided).
All applicants must be eligible for rapid gate credential.
Drug testing and criminal/personal background checks required before hiring.
