JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Candidate will be a key support to the Workforce Development group and will create and deploy multi-platform training content used by various employees to learn new technical skills or other job-related functions.
JOB DUTIES:
- Develop instructional materials (Captivate objects, PowerPoint lectures, trainee’s guides, audio and video scripts, story boards, tests, etc.) that transform technical information into professionally written, engaging instruction
- Identify learning objectives, performance outcomes, and evaluative strategies to deliver content including consulting with program owners and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps and content requirements.
- Apply knowledge of education principles and distance learning concepts, graphic design, and electronic teaching techniques to determine the goals, duration, approach, and instructional media which is the most effective for courseware and training products.
- Follow ADDIE/PADDIE-M models to develop instructional design plans and final training products.
- Identify program training gaps based on attendee feedback and engagement, program effectiveness evaluations, and process reviews.
- Manage attendance lists, Q&A follow ups, project evaluations, and communicating relevant information to internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements/skill sets:
- Must have experience with Adobe Captivate and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in Illustrator and/or Photoshop
- Experience in developing instructional design plans following ADDIE/PADDIE-M models preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Education Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years’ experience in education or curriculum development.
Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and/or be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
