Q.E.D. Systems, Inc. takes pride in its long-standing relationship with United Way of South Hampton Roads. Our employees are very generous in giving, advocating, and volunteering to help build a better community.
Each fall, Q.E.D. hosts a United Way Campaign Kick-Off, encouraging employee giving while enjoying a picnic lunch and day of fun. Q.E.D. sets the bar high for fundraising, and every year, generous employees raise it even higher. Most recently, employees raised $96,010 in 2016/17 to support United Way programs in the South Hampton Roads area. We also provided significant assistance to a local family in need to help them rebuild their lives. QEDhas been recognized as “A Community Impact Leader” for over ten years.
In 2011, Q.E.D. felt honored to have its company president, Mark Jones, serve as Chair of the Board of Directors for United Way of South Hampton Roads. Mark continues to lead our team and encourages coworkers to give back. Q.E.D. is the Platinum sponsor of the UWSHR Young Leaders Society, funding leadership training events and promoting a younger generation to Live United. Additionally, Q.E.D. has received the Maritime Award three times for significant contributions to United Way and the South Hampton Roads Community.
Q.E.D. has participated in the Annual Day of Caring for many years. Teams visit United Way Agency Facilities in Portsmouth, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Suffolk, offering services such as painting, construction, and landscaping. We provide ongoing support for many certified agencies, including St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children and Edmarc Hospice for Children.
Q.E.D. branch office employees also participate with their local United Way efforts by pledging donations and volunteering to support local Community Impact Projects.
