Job Description:
QED Systems, an experienced marine engineering, planning, and ship modernization firm, is seeking a Medical Supply Technician. The Candidate will be responsible for warehouse operations relative to sourcing, procurement, expediting, receipt, inspection, barcoding, storage, auditing, inventory control, kitting, packing, shipping, transporting, and disposing all types of material in support of Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships operating within the Combat Logistics Force, Special Mission Ships, Pre-Positioning Ships, Sealift Program Support, Fleet Ordnance/Dry Cargo, Afloat Staging Command Support, Expeditionary Fast Transport and Adaptive Force Package Support. All other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
The Medical Supply Technician must possess a strong working knowledge of all Government regulations pertaining to the storage of pharmaceutics, including narcotic drugs. The Medical Supply Technician Material Management Supervisor will report to the QED Systems MSC Global Material Management (GMM) Program Manager (PM) and will be assigned to the MSC warehouse, located at the Norfolk Naval Base. The Medical Supply Technician will be responsible in assisting the QED Systems MSC GMM PM, in preparing various internal company and Government contract reports related to medical supplies and material.
Education/Certifications
H.S. Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
The Medical Supply Technician must possess the following specific experience:
- 10 years of experience in material/inventory management of medical material and medicals
- 6 years’ experience of handling and storage of narcotic drugs
- 3 years of hands-on experience processing the medical material and narcotics for shipment within the Department of Defense Transportation System
